The East Greenwich Firebirds competed in the West Deptford Thanksgiving tournament and came home as champions of the White division with a 3-0 record. It was a total team effort winning three very close games, with timely goal scoring and exceptional defensive play. Fullbacks Shannon Myers, Macy VanHoorn, Rachel Brasco and Stephanie Davis set the stage for success by limiting the opposing teams scoring chances. Offensive pressure was provided by the midfielders and forwards, including Kelsey George, Stephanie Gross, Paige Incollingo, Kitty Hunter, Sarah Gabler, Caitlyn Young, Kelly Davis and Alexis Clark.

In the first game the Firebirds defeated the Penns Grove Red Devils by a score of 1-0. Kelsey George scored the lone goal and Nikki Nastasi pitched the shutout in net for the Firebirds. In the second game the Firebirds defeated the West Deptford Tornados 2-1. Kelly Davis and Kitty Hunter scored for the Firebirds. In the final game the Firebirds defeated the Monroe Hurricanes 1-0. Kelly Davis again scored for the Firebirds and Nikki Nastasi got her second shutout of the tournament.

The tournament result was a great conclusion to a successful season.
